I bet I’ve peeled 10 of these off my truck. I bought it used a few months ago. Is this some kind of “theft tracking” the stealership offers for an extra $1250 that does nothing at all. Just found this one under hood.

I believe that if you peel it off, it leaves an ID number that is only visible by UV light or something. Another way to ID your vehicle when recovered by the police.
