The US Military didn't put helical differentials in the Humvee because they were street racing them. Helical differentials have a downside, typically overcome with engaging the brakes to dig out of zero axle-load conditions. The Wavetrac has a leg-up here in that it overcomes this.The goal of this thread was not to go back and forth with one user who seems to think there's an argument to be won here.
