I've been watching videos of guys detailing their vehicles. I had no idea there was such a passion for detailing and just general washing. Who knew all these processes, equipment, and techniques existed. Apparently I've been washing my vehicles wrong for years! Now that I have a Raptor, I was interested in seeing what others did.

I just purchased some stuff off of amazon. I got an inexpensive foam cannon since there are a lot of videos that show they work great. I went with a Tool Daily Foam Cannon for only $15.18. Seems like Chemical Guys soaps are highly rated. I went with Honeydew Snow Foam Car Wash. Then for the regular car soap, I went with Citrus Wash and Gloss. Looking forward to see how this foam cannon business works.

For a top coat protectant, I'm using the Gtechniq C2V3 spray. That seems to be working nicely.

I don't have time for that. I have unlimited $10 car washes for $20 per mo. It is new so can handle Rappys. They even know to turn off the tire shine.

Ya, I’ve been using the 2 bucket wash method for a number of years. Works great on cars.

For a truck, you need a foam cannon. I picked one up a couple weeks ago. Makes a quicker job for sure.

What pressure washer are you running? Even with the foam cannon I use a two bucket method. Look at the butter wet wax.
I have an old Briggs and Stratton gas powered pressure washer. It runs at about 2,200 psi. I haven't used it in awhile o hopefully it fires up tomorrow when I give it a try!

Slightly different topic, but since we’re detailing our Raptors:
A friend who’s a professional detailer had me put Nu Finish on my Raptor. Said to stop listening to the BS and just do what he says. Said it could last up to 12 months. He recommended the same for the windows and lights too.
Gotta tell you, it’s pretty inexpensive stuff, but works freak’n great. Was really surprised about the windows and lights. Damn windows shed water like a duck.
