Just out of curiosity, did they mention this post as the reason they reached out to you? I am sure someone told them about it...

I won't speculate why they reached out to me, but I am just happy I finally feel like I am making some progress and that they actually care. The person I have been dealing with these past few days has been nothing but accommodating and committed to making things right.

I can't understand why the ball kept getting dropped at your corner, it's certainly not the way Whipple does business.
I do hope they get your Tune squared away though.

So if I get a stock tune from Whipple, will the dealership be able to update the PCM/TCM settings on the new stock tune, or will it come with the latest update? I remember you saying the dealerships told you no new updates were available. Can they just download the newest PCM/TCM settings regardless if an update is available or not?

Did the harsh shifting problems go away when you downloaded the stock tune from Whipple?

Thanks for taking the time to post all of this. I'm a Whipple fan tried and true, so I have faith in them that they will come through on this. I haven't contacted them yet as I've been keeping tuned (pun intended) on your dealings here. I'm happy to say that I know my service guys will work with me on this.

Jeez....

I literally had a stage 1 Whipple kit in my shopping cart until I read this post.

Not being easily able to restore stock tune is a deal breaker for me.

Thanks for the post.

That’s good they reached out to you. How’s the updated tune they sent you? Did they mention that is had the updated TCM? I’m interested because I also have the stage 1 kit, I haven’t had any trouble with it like you have but I would still like that update for my TCM

Right now if you get a stock tune from Whipple I still don't know if the dealership would be able to update it. I am sure there are many different factors such as versions and compatibility, but I currently think they would have to flash it to as-built first before they tried to search for updates. My dealership told me they have no way of manually downloading update files, but I really don't believe that.

No, the harsh shifting problems still didn't go away with the stock tune file.

Where are all those dudes who were literally deep ********* the Whipple stage 1 a few months ago when ANYONE else tried to talk about a different tune? I figured this thread would be 20 pages by now with defense but...

Agree. This forum was overwhelmed with the group buy and people's excitement. Been a little quiet since then.

Somebody mentioned the 4-to-5 hard shift. I have MPT (on my 3rd version based upon user input) and I had 4 to 5 shift the other day that made me think something broke. My wife was taking a drink of water and it spilled all over here. Of course she asked me why "I gunned it" when she was drinking. I get a few of those hard shifts under light throttle every now and then.

I think most of us just haven’t had any problems. I have been nothing but happy with my Whipple Stage 1 Kit
