I know this may not be too popular but has anyone found an exact or close match to the factory gunmetal grey color for the bumpers/fender flares in a vinyl wrap? Looking for a brand/color recommendation. Finish will have to be a metallic and I think satin (maybe) as the trim does not seem as glossy. I used to have some color sample books for 3M and Oracal but can't find them. They are probably outdated now anyway and there are many different popular brands with their own color selections to randomly order sample books which are not free either.

My rear bumper needs some attention and if I can find a vinyl wrap that matches the factory color I will do it myself instead of having it repainted. I'm a fan of vinyl wrap since my truck is already wrapped. It's inexpensive, can be temporary, replaceable if damaged easily, and if done right looks like paint.

Thanks in advance...

there is no exact color match for a factory paint to a vinyl. I've asked several places to match oxford white. It'll be close but you will see the difference.

I’ll check for you this weekend when I’m back in town. It’s either 3M or Avery that has a VERY close match, I have full sample decks of both and remember checking when I first got my 2019. It would definitely work for what you want though.

Brent from Rocky Mountain Graphics gave me a recommendation to try (below). I ordered a small roll to see how close it is. If there are any other recommendations let me know.

The best match for the fender flares and bumpers is the 2080 Matte Dark Grey by 3M
Thanks,
Brent

You actually want the satin.

3M Satin Dark Grey is a close match. It has a bit of a blue'ish tint to it compared to the factory color which is nothing but grey but is very close. The 3M Matte Dark Grey is a little to dull compared to the factory paint. It's almost like the factory finish is right in between Matte & Satin but I prefer to go more glossy then dull. If anyone has any other recommendations let me know. I will order small samples and report back.

No vinyl wrapped, but I just had some 2020 wheels powder-coated to match the Flares/Trim (as the wheels come 2 shades lighter from factory than the flares/trim) in Crystal Grey from Prismatic powders and it's such a close match it's crazy, they look perfect IMO. The center-caps and flares are the same color, whereas the wheels itself are the same color, but 2 shades lighter. I will attach a picture for reference. My flares have a few Knicks here and there and since they are plastic and cannot be powder-coated, I am looking at re-painting, otherwise I would have them also powder-coated in Crystal Grey.

I may be misunderstanding the intention here, but there may be another route if you are just trying to cover up some bumper damage. I had a relative back into my truck and when I looked on EBay there were new bumpers for the corners of the truck for less than $100. I think the pair was around $100 actually. So many people replace the number with aftermarket that the stock bumpers seem to be readily available at a good price.
