Not sure if this is the right location but ill throw it in here anyway.
Mods feel free to relocate.

Is there a way to program a VHF radio to have confirmation transmist and end transmist signals.

A "beep" or tone when someone ques a mic, and the same when they release.

I have the icom f5021.

Just curious.

I don't think he is talking about the "Roger" Beep.

Correct me if I am wrong but Huck wants his radio to beep when someone else keys then unkeys.

Yea, I doubt there is a radio on the market that does that. I'll do some more research. The roger beep is what you normally hear. On a repeater its a different story.

Correct.

Tone for start of incoming transmission and tone for end of transmission.

Not the stupid handheld chip / song thing. Just a single tone

Prior service people will recall what I mean.
