OP: Thanks for the write up.

Did anybody else have an issue getting the panel to snap completely back into place? Mine doesn't seem to want to completely snap back in on the drivers side. Suggestions?????

Do not do what I did: hit it really hard a couple of times with my fist. Sure it snapped in.. But my sunglass holder broke.

Blendmount.com has great mounts and the wiring taps for the mirror if it wasn't mentioned for both the Valentines and Escorts.
The Blendmount is expensive but it is a work of art and allows you to mount the V1 flush with the bottom of the mirror. The mirror Tap they sell finishes the install with a better than OEM look.

On the trip from Chicago to rotp and back the v1 won on range a couple of times in big blues truck but my max2 was giving use police spotting info. For mixed city driving in would say the max2 purely for highway the v1 may be better if you run waze or similar.

I'm gonna have to do this. I have V1's in all my other cars but I hate them not hard wired!

Don't know if anyone if following this thread anymore, but to those who have the blendmount, do you still get alerts from behind? I'm looking to pick it up, but all the of installed pictures on the site looks like the sensor is blocked from the rear.

No, the blendmount doesn't block forward or backward sensors at all.

Thanks for letting me know, ordered one for the Raptor and one for the Focus, it'll be nice to get the detectors off the windshield. Unfortunately the focus has a basic rear view, so I'm still gonna have to run the wire to the fuse box, but I did pick up the mirror tap wire for the truck [emoji4]
