not sure why anyone would take one of these off roading to begin with. Pretty obvious it isn't designed for that.

It's to hold light crap. easy to install, easy to take off.

keep it light duty and it's fine

it can literally be locked to the bed- w/ a padlock, between that & the stainless bolts holding i to bed it ain’t going anywhere

thought it was about it coming loose or something when offroad

you mean as far as capacity?

I like it a lot anyhow- but like I said def needs upgraded hardware

Yes I mean that when putting it on, one can tell it is not for hard core offroad use.

And that if you keep the capacity reasonable you will probably have no issue.

I like mine alot so far.

Inherently I think it is a design that can potentially have issues though.

overall. glad I got it.

I keep mine locked with the little lock it came with. But true, this thing can be removed in 2 seconds if you’re going to be driving rough. Never occurred to me to take it off but I will remember that the next time I take it off-road.

I have a love hate relationship with them but have installed the SAME ones 4 times - an F150 and three raptors . Mounting pointes were the same for factory install for 2016, 2918, 2019 and 2020.

Great for holding stuff you don't want in the cab from tools, liquids, ropes and gear. Left the on for off roading. Easily removed when I needed the full bed.

A Plastic Clip holding the locking mechanism cracked recently but was easily repaired with some epoxy.

I have them mounted under a Diamondback HD cover. When the truck is full, you need to move stuff around to swing them open or open the tonneau cover.

I think I may replace them with the Builtright rack and strap gear and (pelican type) boxes to the racks since I am adding Dave's Pull Kitchen (www.pullkitchen.com), I won't be able to swing them out with the kitchen on the right side and fridge on the left side.

Overall, they served me well.

I know it's not for everyone but i use a du-ha under-rear-seat plastic storage tub for all my tool bags/stuff i don't want to leak onto floor. I debated bed storage options for a while before settling on that. It is attached with 2 hand screws. You have to take it out to remove the rear floor mat for cleaning but it takes 30 seconds.

I went a similar route with a OEDRO kit.

Had one in my Ram 1500... meh... wasn't a fan. Love the Builtright racks much better and things are more out of the way with them.

I have one. Love it. With a few smart inexpensive alterations it is very durable and can hold a bit of weight.
I have the inexpensive one off eBay which is the exact model that Ford dealership sells.
