[QUOTE="svc, post: 645114, member: 2870"] hey guys, Thank you for checking out our new section on the Forums. We are excited to bring you the latest and greatest Raptor parts. We have a bunch of new and innovative parts coming to the Raptor community. With that said, here is the info on the "2 piece" UCA. SVC Performance Series 1.5” UCA’s (Upper Control Arms) Yes, you see them correctly, the SVC Performance Series 1.5” UCA is developed from a race inspired two piece construction to make life with your SVT Raptor even more satisfying. The concept behind this two-piece design was inspired by one of our favorite class 10 race-cars sitting inside the shop. There are multiple advantages to going with an SVC two-piece UCA over the others more conventional designs. First and foremost is the ease of fine-tuning camber and caster to your UCA’s. Simply unbolt the center bolt, and then unbolt the secondary bolt that attaches to the arm to the bearing cup, and start to spin away. Each side will allow you to adjust the length of the arm at the heim without having the headache of unbolting the shock, and removing the arms each time you adjust. This can save hours out of your day, and guarantee that no matter how much you raise or lower trucks perch settings, your trucks alignment will always have the ability to be true and correct. Another added benefit to having this type of system is when you are installing or adjusting the preload on your shocks. Simply unbolt the secondary bolt, and swing the arm to the side allowing you more room to manipulate the spring perch collar. The SVC Performance Series 1.5” UCA is designed using the latest in modern CAD technology and is actually a complex arm to build compared to most of the others on the market. A unique feature with our arm is the bent, radiussed boxed section on the front side of the arm. Getting the correct bearing cup angle is crucial to a well-built part. But also making sure the surface the bearing cup is welded too is flat and tight as possible to ensure the UCA’s integrity. Because we take the time to radius and bend our arm flush, we have zero gaps to weld on the bearing cup unlike some other designs. This leads to a better weld surface with a race-truck like appearance. During the development process, we also toyed with making custom center pins to fit the taper of the factory knuckle. The problem is, over the years we have seen numerous center pins break and fail from multiple manufactures, and that’s something we don’t want any part of. We ended up finding our inspiration from the many Trophy Trucks, Class 1 and Class 10 cars sitting at the shop. One common theme was they all used a ¾” 12 point 8740 Aircraft bolt to attach the UCA to the upright, and never a tapered 5/8th or 9/16ths center pin. You will no longer have to wait for custom center pins to be shipped from the manufacturer if you break one or degrades over time, and you will never have to worry about snapping one in half. Arms are standard in either all satin black or satin black with SVC Yellow Tube. For $50.00 more, Blue, Red, Orange, White, Silver, Gray or Red Candy available to color match your Raptor paint.
