if you have to, remove the shock and spring assembly. then remove the spring. make sure the set screw is loose. with the spring off it, and out of the truck you should be able to hit it harder with a dead blow hammer.

but first try the pb blaster or lime away. make sure to get it in the top and bottom of the spring perch.
