I am looking for a tent that I can set up in the bed of my raptor. I have not seen much discussion on these. I am curious to know which if any fit properly. Any help would be appreciated. Even if you could just give the length and width of the bed.

Cabelas, Sprotsmans Guide and those places all have them in cataloges. There are a few that dome over the tail gate as well.

Do those roof-top tents necessarily require a roof rack? I don't mean simple tie-down rails, but a genuine 4 sided rack with bottom supports?

Secondly, sitting the tent way up in the air like that... I'm thinking it might be a little chilly up there in the night air.

I do a lot of camping, and I'm thinking I'd rather camp on the ground any day... unless your camping in Africa????

Here's a pic of an Autohome on my FJ. Have seen guys do them on pickup trucks with the Thule pickup truck rack system...with the whole bed still available for gear.

This is the Autohome Maggiolina Airlander in a Medium XL (extra long). Very comfortable and I'm 6'4". Slept with two sons in it and it was still pretty comfortable, albeit a little cozy. Cranks up in seconds, foam mattress and bedding all ready to climb on in.

I think only 2 dealers in US. You can get them through Teton Adventure Gear in Jackson Hole, WY. Tell Redeem that Tim sent you.

I wouldn't want to climb up that drunk. On my camping trips we are so utterly ********* that I have had friends sleep on TOP of their tent, wake up and find they are sleeping on the door to the tent (funny as shit watching them try and figure out how to get out :ROFLJest: ) and just plain pass out on the ground.
