Alright guys, check out my video.

I've been going back and forth with Ford about the transmission in my truck.

I say its slipping they say its normal, the short version is when it shifts from 3rd to 4th it flares up an bangs the next gear.

Am I crazy??

Beware poor camera work

Perhaps try in sport mode and see what happens. I recall mine goes 1-3-5 in normal mode under light acceleration. Good luck.

The area service engineer did a test drive today and ,"after extensive test drive its normal "
I've been dealing with this issue for a long time and even after several "fixes " I have the same issue. Today I was also told that the iwe is most likely the culprit, because it not completely engaged or disengaged.

Its really ******** that some jackwagon comes out to look at the truck and is so dismissive of the problem.

My service advisor says we should replace the transmission. So I don't really think the issue is at the deal level.

Always tached out? I drive my truck in Sport mode 70% of the time and not sure I generally see more RPM than you showed in your video.

I wasn't suggesting you change your driving habits to Sport mode, but Sport mode hits every gear on an upshift vs normal skips gears. I was trying to determine if that made a difference to your problem.

My 2019 goes 1-3-5 in Normal mode and light throttle where I see yours goes into 4th then 6th......

What's the error light above the odometer?

Good luck....

Not normal at all. I can't believe they said it was. Find a different dealer.

My bad. I was only looking at the tach the first time I watched it. Watched it again and didn't really see it flare up between gears. It does sound weird though. I don't ever recall seeing a 1-3-4-6 shift like that, though I don't watch gauges like a hawk.

Have you had the tranny re-flashed to latest update yet?

The transmission has been flashed several times.
. Had smoke coming out of it
. It has (may or may not be fixed) slipped in 8,9 and 10 gear. 500+ rpm swing with steady throttle.
. "Leaked" enough to slip ( a different time) out of 10th a bang 7th then jump around in the top gears @240 * (was told that's not going to damage clutches or steels )

I'm still having 3 gear issues. It slips right as it shifts
And of course it's not all the time(because that would be easy).

And I've had enough loaners (all 18 and 19's) f150s to get a really good feel for a 10speed that works, I've seriously driven 10k miles on loaner trucks.

if you change throttle input it will. you take off lazy, some knucklehead next to you wants to speed up to get in front and make a sudden turn, despite there being 400 yards of open road to your 6. You judiciously add throttle and the knucklehead realizes they should have been more thoughtful about their intended destination, and all is right in the world.

Whatever is happening ought to show up on their diagnostics. when the rpms go up, do you actually lose momentum? is it consistent at all throttle? IOW, if you are WFO, is it the same, worse or doesn’t do it?

Drive it with the alleged tech to illustrate the problem. Get them to admit there’s a problem and that will go a long way toward a resolution. Plus what @MDJAK said, get in touch with Ford C/S
