I've owned a C6 ZR1 since new (almost 10 years now) and have had the 2018 GT3 for coming up on 3 years and the GT3 has been cheaper per track day than the ZR1.  ZR1 has and is an awesome car, but those huge tires, roughly $1k worth of brake pads and then every few years new set of carbon ceramic rotors ($5k so much cheaper than other CC rotors) and the 3mpg on track aren't exactly cheap.


I seem to get double the mileage on track with the GT3 (roughly 6mpg) and the tire and brake wear has been very reasonable.  Then factor in the absolute zero issue with engine cooling and it's become my track car of choice.  I've since modded the ZR1 (E85, pullies, headers, tune) and it's become my slide around town car. 


Anyway, both great cars, but there is a noticeable engineering and build quality difference with the P-car.  That said, I still love the Vette and plan to keep it for a long time.
