Took the beast to the strip!

Went to the Smokin' Mo-kan drag strip. Went with a worked mustang gt and infiniti g37s. It was $15 to run so why not. I do only have the 5.4, and still had my spare tire in. I managed to do a 16.04 at 86mph. I launched in 4WD and 2WD. I was surprised really. For a 6300lb truck running 35's, thats impressive.

4WD you can brake and hold the gas to launch HARD without spinning. And I mean it throws you back. I could get the same 60ft times as most new sports cars, which weight 1/2 as much. 2WD you could still power brake a little, it spun the tires off the line, but nothing crazy. Times were pretty much identical. I never ran in tow/haul. I wanted to but my last run was against a stock chevy 1500 and couldn't risk it being slower.

Pretty average for street tires. That being said my 2012 5.0 cut 2.0 on stock tires.

thats the 5.0, those are fast as shit. The 4.6 mustangs are in the 2s. there was a new 5.0 that raced a new camaro ss and kicked some ass.

stock for stock I can **** a new SS, track or interstate.

I have a 4.6 too, it's not near as quick stock vs stock 5.0

Ford is on their game now. Smaller engines and still beating everyone. The V6 is faster than any other V8. A 5.0 is faster than a 6.2. And the scorpion gets crazy good fuel mileage with still 400hp and 800tq
