possible but..... so is what I said. It took 100+ hours on my Buddys boat to show up. was fine the entire summer by the fall it was a smoke show. I got the boat for free it had sat for a couple of years with outdrive problems. I fixed the outdrive gave him the boat as a gift. (he is always helping me with projects) we pulled it apart that winter ran a hone through the cylinders ringed the pistons. had the boat 7 years. sold it and bought a 33FT cruiser.A similar situation with one I bought for my self, The boat sat for a long time some kid bought it got it running drove it around for a short time I bought it from him by the end if the summer. smoke show. I completely rebuilt that one.(of corse it was mine.)had that boat 10 years. sitting is hard on an engine.but it could be the way you say also. Just informing of MY past experiences.
