To remove my decals or not?

I am getting tired of the decals on my Tuxedo Black Raptor. I extremely like the "digital mud graphics" on every color except black. On black, they don't stand out and from far I think, and bet others do, is that some kind of scratch or crappy paint job on the bed sides? And I like the cleaner more elegant look of all gloss black, but these were damn near a $1500 option.

So I tested out with the smallest portion on the bottom of the supercab rear door.

This portion removed in three pieces, very simple to pull off and only left wax and residue buildup on the edges, no residue underneath. A quick clay and then a quick 5 minute buff job and you can not even tell there was ever a graphic there before.

Do I continue with the rest?

Sorry for the cell phone pics, FFS

Don't ask me! :)

I removed the "digital mud" as quickly as I could from my Tux Black Raptor. It came off easily and I was much happier without it. It's unfortunate I paid for it but I had no choice (bought it off the lot). But I did have a choice to remove it

I didnt order the sticker.
I saw a black Raptor with the sticker and it looked like dirty on the paint. Sorry...
And I think the paint under the sticker will be different from other surface as long as you keep it on.

I am not a fan of the graphics on a black Raptor. But..I didnt pay for 'em, so do what you think looks best. As mentioned by wbimota, if your gonna take 'em off, do it before you get that subtle change in paint color.

I don't care for them either, especially on the black, where they don't seem to show up. If it were mine, I would peel them off, but you're right, it is an expensive option to throw in the trash can.

Thanks for the input everyone. I just wanted to see if I'm crazy for wanting to remove them or not. I think I probably will since that is what "I" think will look better, and apparently everyone else too haha. FFS

I prefer my mud graphic to be the color of the dirt I’m in and have some texture.

If it were the orange/red one the decals would have looked great. I have to agree that the black raptor looks much nicer without those tread decals. I hope there's an option to simply have them removed at the dealer or to simply remove them altogether when the next gen arrives.

The decals are an option. The digital mud graphics are about $1000 and the hood black out decal is about $750.
