GEN 2 Title From Auction

Manheim auction there are strict rules regarding timeline for sending title. If it's been long enough you can get your money back or ask for compensation.

I hope it doesn't come down to it. Good to know. This auction was down in TN. Hanging in there due to color and price. Its a wasteland up here. White is priced at 84k in CT, Black models are averaging 82K. Then its stripped 802A models 76k and down all black.

I have the window sticker at home, its 70 and change. Crew, 802A, Raptor Tech, extended bed, bed liner, forged wheels, decals (had them removed), applique, tail step, heated steering wheel, rear heat seats, panoramic roof, maybe 1 or 2 things I'm missing.

You need to do more legwork / make calls. Imperial Ford in Mendon MA not far from CT is selling them at MSRP. They sold 8 at MSRP in 2017. Quirk Ford of Augusta ME is selling them at MSRP - $1k.

People paying thousands over MSRP just aren't looking hard enough.

dealers in GA are asking $10K over msrp, but will sell close to or at msrp. Not a great inventory in GA so no reason why a dealer in GA couldnt sell.

I work for a dealer and send many cars to the auction. The original dealer sends the title to the auction once the vehicle has sold not before it sells. So in theory if you bought from a dealer that bought it at auction they should already have the title. Only takes a couple of days. The only way it would take longer would be if the auction actually bought the vehicle and converted the tittle to their name then now has to reassign to purchasing dealer. If you run the VIN thru carfax it should show the hoops it jumped thru and will likely show 1 or two owners. If you PM me the VIN I can run for you.

Something shady going down for sure. The auction company has to have possession of the title before it goes across the block. A dealer isn't going to buy a vehicle at auction without a clear title.

Why the GA dealer sent it to auction sounds fishy as hell.

So you would say nothing shady is going on aside from them not being able to sell the truck at a premium price down in GA?
