Hello all, I have been around here for a year and so, I performed a search and scrolled thru related topics as best as I can but still seem to be running into a pickle.

I have a stock 13 screw set up on mid perch, I also have methods and 35" Toyo mud terrains.

My problem I am having is very frustrating, basically I have already had to replace the inner fender liner on my truck once, bought a new one from ford, pulled off the fender flare up front and installed it better then new, got all new clips and fasteners, basically off it right no short cuts.

Well after a few months and a few trips to the dirt I am still having an issue of the fender liner rubbing, mostly dead center at the top, the other issue and my main reason for posting is the tire is still rubbing the fender flare, not when the truck is going thru whoops or anything like that but rubbing the back of the flare towards the doors when I'm turning into a parking stall or even into a steep driveway, if the wheel is slightly turned left the left front tire will rub into the flare?

I'm so frustrated with this issue, I would love to get my flares painted to match the truck, but don't want to rub new paint off. Anyone have any advise ?

What are your exact wheel/tire specs? Offsets and actual tire diameter/width play a huge roll in when and where rubbing is going to happen.

I'm running 18" Fuel Octane rims with +1mm offset with 315/70r18 Toyo MT's. They are considered a 35" tire but are closer to 36" in actuality. I am also at Mid perch. I get slight rubbing on the drivers side during left turns at a specific angle while moving.

If your setup is similar, that could be why. An alignment shop should be able to adjust it somewhat to alleviate most of the rubbing during normal day to day driving, but as far as off-roading, I'm afraid the only real solution is bigger custom fiberglass flares (Glassworx, Boatec, etc...). I know they're on my listed of planned future upgrades! (also brings the possibility of 37's in to play!) hahaha.

Yeah I am running a similar offset, I guess I was just puzzled as to why this is happening in the first place, ultimately I would love to get bigger front fenders, but am a stickler on things lining up.

I was hoping to be able to run 35"s on a stock raptor without rubbing, who knows

You can run 35" tires without rubbing. Your wheel offset is the culprit. I'm guessing that wheels are sticking out quite a bit further than the stock wheels do. Gives the truck a nice aggressive stance, but can create a rubbing issue. I'm running 37 (measure more like 36.5) inch tires with stock beadlock capable wheels and they don't rub.

What, exactly, do you have for Wheel/Tire Specs?

Lot's of guys are running true 35" diameter tires with no issue, but if the wheel gets much bigger and the offset gets smaller it could be a problem. At a 0 offset or greater with a a tire right at 35" it shouldn't rub. (mine just barely touches on the front driver side, but my tire is actually 35.7") If you are right at 35" with a +offset, then it could be a possible issue with how it was aligned. (Not that there is anything majorly wrong with the alignment, but there should be some wiggle room in the adjustment to get rid of the rub.)

Exactly! I'm running 37" BFG ATs w/ stock wheels and don't rub either. The factory wheels have 6.09" backspace and the Methods have less.

Stock wheels: 17 x 8.5 w/ 6.09" backspace
Method 17: 17 x 8.5 w/ 4.75" backspace

Your wheels are putting your tires 1.34" farther outboard where they're not really designed to be.

Fix? Start cutting, get new wheels, or smaller tires.

he said he has methods and toyo's.

Check your alignment. If the camber is set incorrectly it will push the wheel back in the opening and they will rub. Mine barley clear, and catch the pdp mud flap constantly when turning into parking spaces or backing into them.

Take a look at your LCA's and see where the bolts are in the slots, if they are all the way in, they will rub.
