Here's all you need to know on this subject:
Nitrogen vs. Air - Tire Inflation

Popular Mechanics summary: "With nitrogen, your tire pressures will remain more constant, saving you a small amount in fuel and tire-maintenance costs. There will be less moisture inside your tires, meaning less corrosion on your wheels. You will not be able to feel any difference in the ride or handling or braking, unless your tire pressures were seriously out of spec and changing to nitrogen brought them back to the proper numbers."

Nitrogen for race trucks seems reasonable if no "airing-down" is planned for the race at hand. But for normal mortals who drive city streets as well as off road in the same vehicle and do their own maintenance, it strikes me as a wannabe affectation that sucks dollars out of wallets.

Nitrogen has many positive aspects. My dealer fills all tires with nitrogen. If you adjust the pressure frequently than it is not that logical to run nitrogen.
