I aired up to 44 last night when I got home and still have the warning... How do you retrain the system, or should I just make an appointment with Ford. This should be covered under warranty, right?

Starting on page 282 in the owners manual it talks about TPMS and how to check if the system is malfunctioning. It does also state that you have to drive for over 2 minutes over 20mph for the light to turn off.

My commute is about 15 minutes at 40-60 MPH so it should have gone off by that logic. I guess it's off to the dealer I go. Thanks guys.

Retain the TPMS...I need to retrain mine around this time every year as the outside temps. can fluctuate to a great degree.

See your manual for details.

BTW- I run 42-44#s and still need to retrain

Good morning all. This morning I get into my truck to head into work and I see the "Tire Pressure Low" warning on my dash. I get out and check all pressures and they are right at 40 PSI.

At what pressure does the TPMS give this warning and what is my next step in fixing this issue?

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill - same happened with me in the cold today at about 15 degrees, as I was driving...but my PSI is uniform 36 at all tires. how did you solve the problem? Appreciate the response.

GTC-Nova I responded to your post in the other thread.

A sudden cold snap (30 degrees change) will decease the tire pressure more than 2 to 3 psi. which will tell TPMS that there is something up.
Now you can deflate 1 psi. per drive cycle to get down to 36 psi. without the warning light popping up.

MTF already answered you and yes the temperature delta is the cause. I aired back up to 44 and then down to what I was running. Light went off in a day with a long drive.

To all that responded to this thread:

Thank you for the diverse and helpful feedback.

The sensor was triggered by the sudden drop in temperature (single digits) in NOVA. As soon as the temperature climbed back above 30 degrees - it went off. And I am still at only 39PSI. Actually I took the beast to do the yearly inspection yesterday and spoke to a senior tech in the Raptors and SVT - "it is normal to have the sensor triggered due to severe temperature drops". All is OK then.
