We had 7 f150s in the 80s and early 90s. Everyone was a complete *************. I've had all chevs since. The 14 raptor had better not be a mistake :)!!

This is my first ford as well. I am a chevy guy at heart.

I tell everyone that I would have purchased the raptor regardless of who made it. Suzuki could have made it, and id still buy it.

Same here. Had 5 Yukons, all were all in all great. Kinda disappointed in a Denali, but none ever stranded me. Interior quality was where I saw the cut corners....split dash panels, panel finishes would rub off, but mechanically solid. Also had a LX470 and it was comfortable, high quality and quiet, but gawd awful expensive to maintain...like the starter was $900 and tucked under the intake manifold (seriously), hydraulic suspension $5000+...no shit, so I bailed. Raptor has been a pleasure for us. Build quality high IMHO. Interior is not as nice as the Lexus, but better than the Denali. Reliability has been high, but ours required some repairs that I was thankful for the Ford Premium Care warranty we procured. Repairs weren't Ford's fault, due to supplier bugs, but would have tasted sour had we been forced to shell out the $$'s for. All in all, I would buy the Raptor again in a minute, if for no other reason that I just love the shit out of this truck....all the other trucks/SUV's I've owned were just transportation compared to the Raptor.

Raptor is in a league of it's own. If you end up not liking it, there is something wrong with you not the truck. The fun I have had in this truck is well worth the cost. Also anyone driving any other truck will break their neck when you drive by and have something to prove. Post pics when you get it.

Can't say enough

I grew up in a Chevy household, and the only trucks I ever had were Chevy's. Cut my teeth on a 1976 3/4 ton with a 454 that my dad had to tow a boat to the river. It became mine when I was old enough and could do the maintenance, etc...fast forward to the next three....1992 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive, really got sick of putting chains on when going to the mountains....1997 Z71 short bed....nuff said, that truck spent more time in Mexico surfing than i care to admit.....then had a 2001 Z71 that was truly an icon around town and everywhere else...Mexico, Mammoth, Oregon, Arizona, the river......the best truck ever................never gave a thought to a Ford until I bought an RV with a Triton V10.....Holy Shit......Then the Raptor came out....I have had her since 2011, can't even to begin to tell all the awesome times I have had with it. It is truly an amazing piece of technology....have had fun with it in Glamis, Johnson Valley, Jawbone Canyon, everywhere out at the river, every trail known to man out of Bullhead City, pit crew for Camburg Racing at Mint 400, Ocotillo Wells. Hope this helps you out, there is much, much more fell free to e-mail me, running out or room

I wound up with my first full size ford by default. I went to the dealership to trade in my Tahoe, and buy a Chevy Z71. Fortunately for me, stock on 2010 Z71's was very low, so a bit frustrated I stopped by a Ford dealership on the way home. Once I discovered the flat rear floor, without a transmission hump, I was sold. The Raptor will be my 5th Ford truck since 2010, and they have all been pretty good.

Really, everything in the 80's were shit. I bought my first Ford tuck in 91 and have been driving them since. Some were better than others, but all of them did the job.
The Raptor however has been a world apart. I don't know where you are, but one trip out to the desert will seal the deal- especially if you have someone in a different truck trying to run with you.
