I got off the fence and bought my truck when I heard the rumors about the V6. And I wasn't the only one who did that. Then I waited to spend the money building it until I knew for sure the V6 rumors were true. My commentary is coming from the fact the I don't care for a V6 in a full size truck. Well, that, and also that I don't care for NEWB-trolls
And I said 700+, not 700
I only got my truck back a few months ago and it just turned 11k miles. That said, I'll be looking for something new again in 2 years. At that point I hope to park a Gen 2 next to it. But I'll only do that if they put the EcoV8 they are developing in it. Otherwise, I'll either long travel this truck or buy something else cool to park next to it, like a Hellcat Grand Cherokee or maybe the new Lightning that is rumored.
Let's all keep our fingers crossed for the V8TT Raptor. We ran a poll here and over 90% of potential buyers preferred that as the powerplant.

Your ignorance is showing. V6 engines, unlike straight 6 engines (Ford used to make great ones), are INHERENTLY imbalanced. It's part of their design characteristic.
And what about the new engine makes you think it will sound different?
As for enthusiasts, I believe they vote with their wallets. Very few choose V6s. Fact.
My question stands. All else equal, how is the V6 more efficient than the V8? Please answer the question. Or **** off. Newb
