Ok guys... You should all be over your snoball hang overs. Some might be digging through photos and videos and thinking about the trip and what you might do differently for next year's snoball.

I encourage you to write down things that worked well and things you want to improve on for next year.

As I said in the banquet, snoball gets better and better each year and this is because of the feedback from the participants. Feel free to email GLRE at [email protected] any feedback you have for your support drivers or GLRE in general. I will keep all feedback confidential.

Thank You for your donations to Avery. We hit our goal!

I was a fan or the Rear Ambers being required. I think it should require rear ambers on the outside of the vehicle as the ones behind the rear windows were very dim and impossible to see in the snow.

Also maybe next year we can have checkpoints setup where chase of one team signals the team behind them when they have reached certain areas so that we don't have teams lined up behind each other when one gets stuck for hours.

I would just like to say as a non-but-future Snowball participant, that I am watching very closely to see what works and didn't work to try and be as prepared as I can. Please keep posting your feedback so that those of that that are preparing for our first run will be ready.

I think I have all of my radio/coms worked out. I will have my Vertex ambers on Thursday and I have a pretty comprehensive list going. Thank you all for your input!

Next year I want to try some of that heating element tape on the underside of my running boards. I hate the ice/slush buildup. If you forget its there and step on them you will go flying.

@rap67 had some that he used for his light bars, maybe he'll chime in again with what he used.

i used this for the front 30" light bar. Connected it to a spare up-fitter switch. worked well on the light, not sure how effective it would be under the boards but you can double them up and they have a larger wattage size as well.

in a pinch, pouring windshield washer fluid on them will melt the ice (the fluid has to be the ice melter type)

Humm this might be useful to run down the sides of the rollx rails to melt snow/ice that gets in them for those of use in colder climates.

I was just reading the specs on it and it lists as 12v or 24v AC nor DC.

And I had a spray bottle with preston deicer during snoball for such issues but next time I am thinking a little more creatively.
