TCU tune delete and reinstall?

For the last 10000 miles my TCU and ECU tune from goose tuned has been perfect. In sport mode the trans shifts couldn't be better. I had to remove the tune and have now reinstalled it. In sport mode now, the trans is banging all over and the shift into 5th is horrible. So much I don't want to use sport mode anymore. Any reason for this? No mechanical changes have been made.

CDF sleeve may have slipped and hub needs to be replaced. Recently happened to mine. Trans dropped, hub replaced and shifts back to normal.

You will know if you put the OE TCM tune back in and the shift still suck. On mine, had to take it in for a noisy pinion and while there had the transmission filter replaced. 67k. Got it back and thought they didn’t set the fluid level right. Took it back to be evaluated (and other things unfvcked by them) and found out it’s the CDF hub.

All good now.

So...thought phasers were coming but wasnt. Started the truck after a few weeks and was a big rattle when starting. Only happened once. Figured the oil pressure just bled out of everything and was clacky starting up. Hasn't done it in over a week now. Anyway, took the tune off as I was preparing to go in. After a week of no issue, just put the same tune back on.

This is a growing problem with all dealers as the knowledgeable technicians are aging out and replaced with whatever they can find. Many right out of idiot school with zero experience, or even basic pertinent knowledge memorized.

No, I’m not bitter about it (yet) because I can/rather still do all my own maintenance/work/mods. If/when I’m not able to physically do it, THEN I’ll be really pissed!

This is why I do lots of research before I go to a dealer. It's absolute last resort. I only bought my extended warranty for motor and trans issues, which I know these trucks have.

Isn’t that crazy… we pay tons of money for vehicles and dealers have gotten so bad we don’t even wanna take our cars there. I’m the same way. Hit up @GooseTuned. He always answers.
