I tried to take them off. Loosened the clamps and then tried to pull and heat them up with a propane torch and wont even budge! I want to paint them with matte black header paint that I bought.

lube them up with some pb blaster then wiggle them back and forth. they will come off. i kinda did the same as u. i have a custom lightning style exit exhaust made and i took the stock tips of the stock system and painted them with flat black header spray paint and then mounted them on the pipes. i like the fact they arent welded on so i can take them of when ever i want to re-spray them

Same here, Lightning style exhaust with black stock tips.

I recently resprayed mine, and had trouble getting them off. I just taped everything off VERY well in that area, and resprayed while still on.

just keep wiggling them up and down while you pull on them. They'll get looser and looser and finally pop off.
