I didn't find any other posts on the this style of tailgate lock so I thought I post here. I installed Jimmi Jammers in the front doors and tailgate of my new 2013 SCAB. I spent a lot of time researching different tailgate locks and from what I read, most were fairly fragile. I saw the Jimmi Jammer Gatekeeper lock on-line and decided to give it a try.
It's not a quick remove key lock type but a keeper that is bolted in place with a T-50 torx. I don't see removing the tailgate unless I switch to a tire gate type. The factory T-50 bolt has a lot of thread locker on it and the recommendation from the manufacturer is to put thread locker on again when installing.
There was a note on the website asking Raptor owners to call before ordering and the phone number was local to me so I just drove over. The owner and developer of the Jimmi Jammer products was a really nice guy. Apparently some folks thought the Raptor tailgate pivot was different than the standard F150 but when we tried the Gatekeeper on my 2013 it fit perfectly and exactly the way they fit on regular F150s.
Simple product and I'm sure it would stop a tailgate thief in a public parking lot as removing the bolt with a long ratchet and the right T50 socket takes several minutes.
