I definitely think it helps, but after seeing the pewter on your SVT side vents, I expected this to look darker.  I'm in the same boat as you.... Not a fan of the chrome bubble at all. 

I'd like to try something like this but go much darker..... Probably black actually.

Then throw a custom decal over the Ford logo to eliminate the rest of the chrome.
