Okay. I think I know what you're doing although it isn't clear what you're saying. First: Is your phone connecting through bluetooth or are you hooked up to usb? If usb, you have to let it know that you are using usb input. If bluetooth you have to let it know to use bluetooth media\audio. Don't know why user defaults are sometimes reset. You just have to let it know what input you are using.

I'm using Bluetooth And I know what I'm doing it's just not playing

Not trying to be an ass nor flippant.

But, you're saying that you're using USB up above, but now saying BlueTooth.

I believe (haven't tried because I use bluetooth) that if you're plugged in USB you can't output through bluetooth. You have set it to aux > usb.

In other words you're trying to output bluetooth, but you can only do aux>usb if you're plugged in.

I have an iPhone but I have a 2011

Does your truck have a standard radio or SYNC with Voice-Activated Navigation, CB Freshness?

Have you tried turning up the volume using the phone itself?

Yea but I'm trying to get my Bluetooth to connect for making phone calls, not to play music

Has your phone ever been paired with your truck, apeezie289?

Jaclyn, yes, it has been paired on the past. I came back from a 2 week trip here my truck wasn't started for 2 weeks and tried to pair it. It paired ok enough to play Bluetooth radio through it but no cell phone functionality. I then changed the setting on my iPhone to "forget this device" & tried to reconnect. Now the sync system in the truck tries to connect to my iPhone for only a few seconds then puts up a message "no phone paired". The sync in the truck isn't giving me enough time to search, pair, and connect

Not sure if this will be any help....

When mine does not have any sound all I need to do is turn the power to the speakers off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on. The sound then resumes to play.

My 2011 did this. Says its connected but no music or anything. Did the master reset and its working now but I doubt it will hold up for long. the Blueteeths never seem to work right over time.
