Sync 3 options

This morning I was on ebay and noticed there's a lot of sellers offering sync 3 upgrades from prices starting at 800$ to 4Dtech's 1500 price tag.

Has anyone ordered of of these cheaper setups?

I ordered an upgrade kit off of ebay, it was $900, with Nav. The APIM and screen "look" like they are from Ford, but the unit came shipped directly from China. The USB port is definitely not Ford. The unit came programmed, the seller requested my VIN prior to shipping, and I had zero issues. After upgrading not only do I have Android Auto but overall the sync 3 system is just a nicer interface, I'm extremely happy with it at this point.

@BucksRunner Do you have the front camera, and if so does it still work with the unit you purchased? I just got a Gen1 and I am hoping to upgrade my old Sync2 and UBS connections. Do you have a seller link also?

No not yet, dad life has gotten in the way plus I bought a hot tub hahaha.

Plan on doing it in a month or so, but it seems like guys on here are happy with the cheaper units

i'm still on factory sync and i'm trying to see if its worth an upgrade.

I had a 17 Raptor before my Gen 1.. it's worth it trust me. Sync 3 is my favorite platform next to my wife UConnect in her SRT Jeep. Android auto and spotify are awesome.

Yep comes with both apple car play and android auto
