Went out last Friday on 190 miles pre run for the Ghost Trip coming up in may. System seems to work very well. I made ALOT of changes to the truck so still feeling all of them out. However on the rough stuff the truck does seem to not be as squirly as stock. Wash board still suck but nothing will ever make those better. The really big bumps the truck was planted and did not seem to shutter as much upon impact. As noted I am still feeling things out but over all the system is great and we made it home after 90 mile drive to the trails, 190 hard miles on dirt and 140 mile drive home.

On road with out sway bars the truck still drives fine. Though the buddy following me said I had some lean going on which my wife and I did not notice. This was only at freeway speed and some lower speeds with tires aired down as we transitioned to the other trail.

Please keep in mind myself and forums members did this entire install ourselves and did not use a shop. So this can be done at home if you are so inclined. Front is straight forward but rear takes a little more work but that is not part of this discussion.

Is the money for the kit worth it. I would say yes but I am still seeing what it can do. My reason for buying it was to always make it home and so far it held up to some serious torture on the shake down run.

I'm hoping to make trip & we can put the 2 set ups side by side to compare. I've had my RPG set up for 4 months now & have really enjoyed it. One thing I would choose over other kit is upper control arm ball on RPG kit.

Only thing I wish the SVC kit has was a new spindle. But the stock one works for now or until something happens and I get a gusseted one.

There is Ghost town coming up if you can make that weekend and if not we have more runs. Also Poker Run 2 in July most likely.

SVC dual setup official review
While my previous post was a review of this setup I would call this more the “official” review as I fixed the steering issue as noted above in the first review. There was a lose bolt from doing the header install and not a SVC issue to be clear.

The review of suspension setup is from the running of the Ghost Town trip which was a 2 day event I hosted. Day one was the pre-run which I reviewed on before and Day 2 was new.

This time around I was more confident of the truck from all the changes made and could really feel the suspension. Hitting large ruts the truck just flies over them without skipping a beat. On the few jumps we had the truck landed smoothly and there was no hint of control loss. Over the fast terrain you could feel the shocks keeping the wheels planted so you could make the tight turns on the high speed sections.

Day 2 had a rocky trail section where you could really feel the suspension working. Despite be a bone rattling trail in the pre run in a stock suspension raptor, this time around the rocks seemed like they were not there. The speed you can carry over the rocks was only a few mph slower than the smooth trails.

With now having a chance to use the suspension to its potential I can attest to the design ideas SVC had when they made this setup. Am I happy with it, I can honestly say Hell Yeah. To the bigger question is if I had to do it all over again would I? Yes!
