Supercharger whine...

Unfortunately my wife does not know the beast is supercharged, so I need to keep a low-quiet profile. Good idea though.

Ha! I am in the same boat.. All she knows is that I added the fans (HD HE) to keep the engine cooler.

With the 3.25 pulley it is plenty loud lol. My shit screams big time.

For sure. My wife got in after I did the full kooks headers and exhaust(dynomax **** to keep it sort of quiet), and supercharger and she said "what have you done now?" I said just a custom tune! look the exhaust pipes are the same!(refering to when several years ago I got a loud as ***** custom exhaust on my turbo forester subie). She bought it!!

mjyst3-What tune are you running? The 3.25 pulley made a nice noticeable difference in sound and power. Are you on 37's?

^^^ yes, unbolt it, zip tie it, tape it up and tuck it away somewhere.
It's a stupid safety. IMO

I didn't want to ruin anything for you, just find something to stop sucking in the hot air from the engine bay.

I'm going to remove mine in short order as well. I have some tailgate molding that I received double of and will make something up with that.

Ya I zip tied it right away.. I just grease tested the cai box and it is definitely still sealing, maybe not as good as before but there was grease on the hood after I coated the rubber and shut the hood. And when your cruising under the hood Is ambient temp maybe a little more if your gettin into it so I ain't to worried

Thnx for info. I have the roush and kind of quiet. I'm with MTF on sucking in warm air. I'm not a mechanic. But what would happen if I put in the stock air box with a drop in K&N filter? Just curious has anyone tried it. That could solve the problem if it wouldn't mess with the roush tune. Or can a tune from svc solve the problem if possible to use the stock air box. If you like to off road which I do on occasion since I'm a city slicker. Or I'm just an idiot.

The stock air box would be to restrictive for a forced air application.

For the Whipple, a good pre-filter sock works just fine, I would imagine the same goes for Roush.
