Just putting it out there for the guys that are supercharged and like the whine noise, if you haven't taken your hood blanket off yet... What a difference!! My buddy has a whipple and I have a roush and taking that off we can barely tell the difference, until he did too of course ...

Anyway just throwing that out there.. I've had no paint issues or heat discolouration either ..

Does removing the padding stop the damn rain/water or when washing the truck from finding it's way right to the CAI and Battery.
I've already cut a big piece off on both sides so the water will fall just before the CAI and Battery.
My next step it to use some clear silicone and make a bead to direct to flow away.

Also if you remove the padding does the rubber on the CAI bucket still touch the hood,
this concerns me because you would start sucking in hot air from the engine bay.
I guess it would be an easy fix with a bigger piece rubber molding or some kind of foam.

Just my 1 1/2 cents.

Don't ruin this for me !!! Lol never thought about that , but did notice the hood sensor doesn't trip so no remote start and double honk on locking..

^^^ yes, unbolt it, zip tie it, tape it up and tuck it away somewhere.
It's a stupid safety. IMO

I didn't want to ruin anything for you, just find something to stop sucking in the hot air from the engine bay.

I'm going to remove mine in short order as well. I have some tailgate molding that I received double of and will make something up with that.
