couple things.......
#1...wether you like the roof or not.....if you have one....you need to open it from time to time....clean it....and lube the seals...or you will get the rattle and possibly shatter action when it sticks.
#2.... the decision to offer you a loaner is 100% at the dealer discretion and many domestic dealers (ford, chevy, dodge) don't offer loaners. Usually only the very large dealers with huge volumes offer loaners as a way to incent you to buy from them.
#2b...some extended warrenties from ford i think include loaners as part of the program
