Suggestions on Window tint...

I'm getting my windows tinted tomorrow. I'm not sure on what percent to go and whether or not to get the windshiled tinted. It will be $100 without doing the windshield or $140 including the windshield. Not a bad price and the guy does excellent work.

Anyone have their windshield tinted? If so, how do you like it?

I'm also considering getting him to put a strip of tint on the orange reflectors in the rearview mirrors.

i run a ceramic 80% fim on my windshield and moonroof. its not noticeable at all. i use it for heat reflection. az there is no law on film shade, so you can do whatever you want except the windshield.

I just got my windows done but not the windshield. 15% in the front and 20% in the rear, it is just about the perfect tint, dark enough during the day and I can still see outside at night.

Wow! 40 dollars for the front windshield is a great price. I just paid $165 just for the windshield. I had them instal 3m Crystalline. Barely noticeable. I no longer have to use a window shade it works that good.

when i do mine im doing 2 layers of 20 on the front and 20 over the back i did that on my other car and love it

When i did mine i just had them match what the back windows were from factory. not sure the exact % maybe 10-15

factory is 20% on the rear of the vehicle. in ca technically it is not legal to tint the front windows. you guys are lucky to not have to worry about it.

not legal in NY either.

I have been given a couple of window tint tickets in my days, but they were given instead of a speeding ticket each time lol

thats a good trade off. i am the same way. i always leave something not quite legal on my vehicles. that way when i do get pulled over, i end up with a fix it ticket instead of a speeding ticket. works most of the time.....

In NY the "law" is no window tints...you can get away with 20% no problem. Any more and it's something to pull you over for...as for the windshield I would imagine in NY that nothing is legal and anything you put is asking for problems. It's not common to see a front window tinted around here....can't imagine why you would want to
