Subwoofers!

Ok I am going to be getting a Raptor sometime around October-November and the first thing I am going to be doing to that badboy is putting some subs in it. I feel like subs make your music so much more enjoyable and that is what I value most in my cars, cranking up the music! So anyways I just wanted to hear if any of y'all have installed subs and other sound system stuff. If so what do you recommend, how much does it cost, how is the sound, what kind of amp do you have, and etc., just any knowledge you have to share would be appreciated. I also wanted to ask though, how good are the raptors speakers. Cause I like my music with a good mix of bass, not a pounding bass that drowns out the other elements of the music. Should I replace them with better speakers? Anyways, I was thinking about getting 2 Alpine 12's with a 1000 watt amp, so please discuss!
