i go to the dunes 2 or 3 times a year, and this truck has been up there probably 12 times over the last 4 years of ownership..

i didnt hit any of the big jumps, not sure if driving in 4WD had an affect, but why should it really?

Seems unacceptable to me that a diff housing cracks without hitting a bolder or some other impact damage.. the airbags didnt go off so i dont think i sent it too hard bud..

cast aluminum.. it appears to me that its a stress crack. theres a few other threads and posts with same crack, and i know of one truck that broke one of the mounting points off..

TIG it up and be done with it. If you want it be sure JB weld it after you TIG. My two cents.
I say we nuke the sight from orbit it is the only way to be sure.

talked with some PRO welder dudes about this, and they all said not worth it to try to fix...
