What streaming services are you guys using for music/podcasts? Can any of you hear the difference in bitrates? Can the Raptor even process higher bitrates? (I have a 2018)

I have the Pandora free version @128 kbps and a trial version of Amazon HD @850 kbps.

I want to like the Amazon HD but the interface in the Raptor sucks and I'm not sure that I can tell that it has a superior sound.

I'm thinking about trying Spotify premium @320 kbps, hopefully it has a better interface than Amazon.

Thoughts?

Have you upgraded the speakers/amp in your Raptor already? If not, I wouldn't be too concerned about bitrate as the the speakers are going to limit the sound quality.

As to your specific question though, I don't know for sure. If your connecting by bluetooth audio, bluetooth is going to limit the bitrate as well. I would think USB is going to be better, but not sure.

I read the threads about upgrading the sound system but reading thru the threads is confusing and I see a lot of contradictions going on. I do have recommended speakers saved in my Amazon account, not sure about what amp to get. I would want the speakers and amp to be plug and play for the most part. I am not interested in doing a complete overhaul on the audio system.

I would upgrade speakers and amp but I think that the B&O system might not be able to process higher bitrates. I need to look into that.

Noah @The Car Stereo Company just finished my stereo and I can tell you it is incredible. I'll be starting a build thread soon and will have pics. That said, like the others mentioned, you likely need an upgrade to be able to take advantage of any upgraded streaming service. However, Tidal's highest resolution setting is pretty damn good so far. The interface isn't great and it's not a cheap service, but it does sound the best I've heard for streaming.
