Can anyone please tell me what may be the cause of this sound? It comes at random times on my 2018 Raptor.

Thanks in advance.

Does it get worse if you give it some gas?
It doesn't get worse. It comes on during idle, during driving, accelerating, decelerating. Nothing seems to effect it. It finally just stops for a while and then will come back on again.

Maybe the radiator fans? I mean, it doesn't sound normal but it seems like the fans to me.
That is what I was thinking it may be. I am having a hard time getting to it while it is happening so that I can attempt to pin-point the location.

The fact that it goes on and off makes me think it is the fan, since that is what the fans do. Maybe the fan clutch on one of them is *****?

Question....that video is from a year ago...have you been living with it for that long or is that someone else's truck?

As all fans (radiator and intercooler) are electric, maybe try unplugging them to diagnose? I've not ever done that, so not sure what that would take.

Also, here is a video from a guy who had an unbalanced condition due to dirt. He simply did some cleaning with a hose....reasonable if you spend time in mud I suppose?? Too bad he doesn't show his symptoms.

Thank you for your response. It is actually someone else’s video. I will give your suggestions a try and report back.

That is certainly a possibility. I will look into that. Thank you.
