I'm a new 2012 SCrew owner from NC and I'm loving every thing about my new Raptor. :waytogo:

The day after I picked it up (12 miles on OD) I drove from NC to Phoenix, AZ and had a great trip. Now I'm looking around AZ to see where I can go have some fun. Heading to Sedona and the Grand Canyon tomorrow.

If anyone from AZ would like to share some trail info please let me know.

I think SDHQ had an off road trip around Sedona a while back, they closed today. If you go to Grand Canyon make the whole loop or at least go hwy 89 to 64 comming or going. There are some cool canyon views where the indians sell stuff along hwy 64.

Get a local map, ask some locals. Keep in mind off roading solo can be a little dangerous if you break down, keep plenty of water and know where you are. If you find some good trails post em up. I might be headed the same way sometime soon ?

Thanks for the welcome's.

Rapalottapuss - I'm heading over to SDHQ on monday morning to get some accessories installed so I'll check in with them and let you know what I find. I also picked up a copy of "Guide to Arizona Backroads & 4-wheel Drive Trails" at a local book store to get some additional ideas.

try to make your way to oak creek canyon! Go and and check out slide rock to get a chance to cool off. There you can also jump off the platform under the bridge. There is also a spot just before the entrance to slide rock where you can get some of the most delicious natural spring water. You will see a decent line of everyone filling up their water jugs. I'm from Kingman AZ. also if you get a chance drive the petrified national forest. Check out one of the many lakes AZ has. I used to boat on lake mead and lake Mohave all the time. Some of the best scenery driving I have ever done is up north in the high country by flagstaff and all along I-40 and over by Prescott. My family owns some land over by seligman off off I-40 exit 109 anvil rock road. Take the exit and it's all open range dirt roads for the most part back that way. That should give you and whomever you are traveling with plenty of sights to see. Also if you get the chance go check out the Hoover dam just to say you have done it. They also built the bypass to drive over it. Las Vegas is not to far from the grand canyon also. Safe travels! I stationed in Guam and miss AZ like crazy!
