Stock 17s & BFGs - rubbing on front inner wheel well

I got high centered in deep snow and while steering back and forth trying to get free, apparently my front tires rubbed on the lower control arms, both passenger and driver, as I can see rub marks on them from the tires now. Anyone had this issue? I broke the tree plug in the fender when installing fog lights and get noise in windy conditions at highway speed. Easy fix. I've had zero issues with rubbing from my PDP mudflaps; they are great.
