Okay everyone. Please bare with me on this one. I have a 2010 Raptor with only 9000 miles on it. I recently notice some friction in the steering wheel when I go between 25-50 mph. It only happens when you're going straight and just moving the steering wheel about a degree to each side of center. It almost feels like two piece of plastic rubbing together. You can't hear it and it doesn't do it when the vehicle is standing still. I took it to the dealership (who will remain nameless at this time) and they held on to my truck for four weeks. They say they changed the steering column and everything else associated with the steering, but the problem is still there. They also claim this is apparent on all Raptors due to the tires. They called it a "directional issue". Also, when I look over my invoice, nothing is mentioned about replacing the pinion or steering column. My questions are: Does anyone one else feel this in their steering wheel? Second, when ford replaces parts on your truck, should all the parts be listed on the invoice and the time spent on replacing the parts? I really love my rig but this friction in the steering wheel is driving me nuts. If anyone can help, I'll really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
