This is my first post here, as I am looking at picking up a new 2019 Raptor. I just had a few questions. I am not happy with the stock performance of the truck and was wondering if the Cobb stage 2 (or any stage 2) is worth it?

I have been trying to look for what kind of wheel HP the truck makes on a tuned stage 2. Cobb has some dyno graphs up on the site and I am not sure if that power is at the wheels or brake HP. I am interested in what the #'s are at the wheels.

Secondly, how reliable is the truck on the stage 2. Any issues I should know about.

Any advice is good.

Thanks

Cobb stage 2 with CVF intercooler, SPD down pipes, turbo adapters and Cobb intake 426 HP and 532 ft/lbs at the wheels, runs strong all the time, no issues with the tune, installed for 9 months, 6k miles.
Thanks for the reply. Does it have more lag with the larger intercooler?

I have a deal in place right now for a 2019 and want to make sure I am making the right decision.

I would recommend Goosetuned. It feels amazing and pulls less boost than Cobb stage 2. There is some testing involved but well worth it in my opinion. Also highly recommend CVF intercooler regardless of tune or not. It will do your charge air temps good.

Less lag, quicker throttle, all around smoother!

Less lag is good! Do the downpipes make that much of a difference?

That is 2 votes for the CVF intercooler now. Does it come in black? The Raptor I am buying is black, so I kinda want to keep the theme.

Talked to my tuner and DPs don’t really do much for the $$.

CVF IC comes in black but not recommended. According to the internet, they don’t cool as well b/c of the paint.
You won’t see the silver intercooler much anyways.

I install the cobb fmic tomorrow. For now just been running cobb stage 1 with tcm and it’s great. Previously ran MPT prx tune.

Looking forward to getting stage 2 installed [emoji2]

I don’t want to compromise any performance, so silver would be fine at that point.

Second to agree that you don’t see the intercooler. I got black and would honestly think the difference to be minimal. I live in FL on the coast and think that an oxidation barrier priority exceeds loss in performance for me.
