Hey forum, I installed a set of -12mm offset wheels about a month ago and since then I’ve heard a spring popping sound coming from the drivers side. Only happens at low speed, like backing out of a driveway or turning share around a turn. Never from the passenger side. I though maybe something was loose, but checked lower control arm frame bolts, upper control arm bolts and the uniball bolt (Camburg upper arms). It sounds like the spring is getting bound somewhere but nothing is showing signs of rubbing. Any ideas?

2012 f150 with Gen 1 raptor swap. All OEM parts munis the Camburg upper arm.

I would guess IWEs or the mid shaft for the steering column. If IWEs are failing, then CV would be locked and could be getting some binding at full lock

I’m 2wd so no IWE on my truck. I tightened down the lower control arm bolts and haven’t heard the pop since they weren’t THAT loose but maybe that was it? Not really more then 1/4 turn but maybe that was enough to have a little play in the lower control arm mounts? Sounds more like a spring than the arm mounts. I’m still questioning the sound.

very possible. If I recall, the lower shock bolt has some insanely high torque specs. Like 275 ft lbs or something?

406 ft lbs for the lower shock bolt.

Check the LCA bolts, they are tough to get tight enough (258 ft-lbs) and will cause your alignment to get messed up when they move.

Could potentially be the upper shock mount as well.
