Speaker Grills

Does anybody know if the speaker grills are part of the door panel, or can they be removed? Both front and back on Screw.

I haven't had my door panels off yet but typically the grills are part of the panel.

This is what I am afraid of, I need to pull them and replace them. Does anybody know for sure?

Why? I was just thinking about taking them off and painting them... Not a fan of the silver.

I am replacing the system, and doing an incredible system with a couple of companies for SEMA, and I need to get rid of the whole Sony look and feel.
