You showed admirable restraint. When I grow up I wanna be like you. You did the right thing. I like to drag race as much as the next guy, but that's not where these trucks excel. Take your truck and that bozo to the dunes right off the showroom floor and he's buried up to his axles in the first 100 yards, and he will be rubbing his watery eyes crying for you to come back and strap his silly-ass back to the hard road. Would you have beaten him? Stock for stock....probably, but who knows what kind of tune/aftermarket parts he may have. If he had a built diesel, likely not.
Oh and your post proves once again that if it weren't for women, some of us would still be beating other guys in the noggin with clubs. "Save the cave man for the sack" is how I would take her cautionary admonition.
