did you make that plywood piece?

yes I made it. Marine grade plywood. Oil based stain. Super glides. Lifted up with a spacer under the track so you can get the ramp out. Cut out Handle in the middle. It’s heavy.

does the plywood extend beyond the length of the bed + tailgate being down?

no. Cut to length. Aluminum 90 bits up against the tailgate. I made some wood spacers that I put in front of and beside the wheel wells. It holds the deck in place, side to side.

what exact model supports do you have off of that site? Very interesting. Never seen those before.

I believe it was the same one as the regular f150. But it would be good to ask them. To be honest I only use them from time to time as the cables have been fine so far.

have you left the sled in with that setup for an extended period of time? Any damage or bends in your tailgate setup?

no damage. I take out the sled most of the time but it has sat for a few days when I’ve been lazy. The key is good thick plywood to save the tailgate.

thanks to all!

thanks for the reply Ryan C.

one more question: you cut the plywood to the length of the bed (5.5 feet). Excluding the tailgate portion?

I have a 155 inch Polaris. Made a plywood bed with hinges so it can be folded inside bed when not in use. My problem is the ramps. They are way too long to place in bed. My Titan is a bit heavy on the tailgate but so far so good. -21 Pro on the way to spare the tailgate! Maybe I should order thos tailgate support anyway!

What ramps do you have? I’ve got the rev arc and it’s fine. I mean it handles like a janky pos but it works and secures fine.

are you wanting to close the tailgate with the ramps in?

I use a caliber ramp. The snowmobile ramps are long and they do hang past the tailgate a bit as will those mountain sleds. I also put a sheet of plywood down similar to what others posted. You will have no problem. I love Utah, a close friend lives out there and I have been out a few times to sled the mountains with him. What a playground you have! @RaptorUtah
