Snow ski bed storage?

I was wondering if any of the snow skiers out there have an effective and aesthetically pleasing way of securing their skis and poles (and maybe a couple of friends skis at the same time) in the bed of a SCREW? My Volkl Mantra 177's have to go in the bed at an angle to fit and they can slide around. I've got a bag for my skis but I'd still like something better where I didn't need to use the bag. TIA!

Could buy builtright bed racks & secure the skis to them w/ the rubber clamp straps they make

Personally.....I just throw em back there along w/ as many skis/snowboards you could possibly take w/ you based on the passenger limits of a SCREW lol

I have a padded mat (actually supposed to be used underneath a treadmill) that is kinda anti-slip (kinda like a yoga mat) that I leave in the bed to help cushion stuff w/ sharp/hard edges - like skis- & also helps stuff from sliding around

additionally I have a ratcheting cargo bar that i wedge side to side to help “box”
Stuff in or keep from rolling around

everyone w/ a pickup should have a cargo bar really

Considering the abuse my skis saw when they were in use, throwing them in a pile in the back of a pickup counted as babying them ... it was only a matter of time until they bent or broke, so trying to keep them scratch-free was silly. But then I used to ski like some people drive their Raptors off road, lots of whoops and air at high speed. Now I need my shocks rebuilt. I'd say bag them if it makes you happy and don't look back.

Rubber bed mat. Skis shouldn’t move around too much. I have my skis at the same angle and put other gear bags in the free corners

Nice to have something form fitting to the floor - in a steel bodied vehicle I was always a little adverse to bed rugs/mats like this if you really use the truck & are putting skis/wet nasty stuff etc. back there can always trap moisture beneath a mat like this & wind up w/ rust issues - obviously we don't have to worry about that w/ the F150s

If I didn't have my "free" rubber treadmill mat back there I'd get one lol!

The Dee Zee has a bunch of little bumps molded into the bottom, it dries out pretty quickly from underneath.

I don't really need one since I've had my bed Line-X'd but I do like how they grip and stop anything from shifting in the bed.

I'm with you. I have the factory liner, but I carry steel plates for shooting pretty often, so I like the grippy rubber with a little cushion.

I use the Dee Zee mat also, I carry my steel plates a lot in the bed and they never move, plus i have spray in bed liner
