Is it possible to hook up a siren to one of the up fitter switches? I would like to have a siren for off road purposes, but I don't want to have a goofy switch panel in the truck. I have never dealt with police sirens, so I have no idea what it takes for them to be powered.

It would be possible you would just have to find one that is does not require a control box (I.E. Federal Signal most likely will not work). Just finding one that only requires power on should be pretty simple we have them on our blasting trucks at work.

I have strobes in my truck, and the strobes that I bought had a control box. I just used double sided tape and put it on the side of the console, right by my knee. It is about an inch thick, and I have yet to hit it.

Sirens and strobes for off-road purposes? Please enlighten me what purpose this serves, other than mischief? I'm only curious.

Sometimes the lights alone are not seen by the truck you are trying to pass so a little noise helps. Then you use the chrome horn!!

And when that person has limo tint and is blasting some heavy metal through their speakers at 110dB... What then?

The answer... Back off my tailgate! I'm already doing 120mph... How much faster do you need to go? =P

Hahaha

Mine aren't chrome. But I have five of them. And they convey my point rather well.
