Has anyone attempted to take apart the housing to get the silver surrounding over the gauges? I would like to get at mine and have it painted so wondering if it's a major pain in the ass or what...

I've done that and already put back together, got all my silver trim painted except I never thought of taking that piece out. If I remember correctly looks like there were only 4 screws to it, but what I've heard is the "casing" may be glued as well which will make it damn near impossible to get at?

Where there's a will there's a way. Lol. It'd probably be similar to taking a headlight housing apart if that's the case. Just make sure your careful and reseal it properly.

I've taken all the silver trim off the dash/console and have done that. I want the silver peice inside the gauge cluster area, so was asking if anyone has ever taken that housing apart to get at it or not. If it's glued I may just say f that.
