My 2018 split on the main coil bucket welds to the frame. Driver side was the worst. It was a bad weld from the factory. The weld wasn't I would say centered. You could see the sharp edge of the bucket piece not even melted down. So it was weak and split. I had a shop weld both sides up. Now it looks like it should've come from the factory.

Sure the HELL does... about identical. Now I have to go back out and take the surface off and hit it with some dye. Swear the driver side bled through. Then again was being clucked at and in a hurry...
Is there any way to remove that E-coating without using a sander/grinder & removing steel? I don't imagine most people can media blast down there.

Used to have all the equipment to do work like that myself before I closed shop. Believe or not, I just used a little bit of steel wool and the paint flaked off easily. I was an error and mine is not cracked, what I thought was a crack was just a crack in the underlying paint/coating that had soaked up some of the brake cleaner before evaporated.
